Magic tricks, singing, dancing, hidden talents—the THMS talent show has it all!

FBLA is hosting the talent show once again, and auditions began in November.

The THMS talent show will take place on January 26, 2018 at 7 pm in the auditorium.

THMS first held the talent show in 2013 and it was the FBLA’s biggest show to date.

“It’s a very stressful and long process,” FBLA President Victor Moreno said. “We have to get almost everything done in a month, a lot of phone calls, meetings, arrangements—but it’s always very fun.”

Gabby Morales recently auditioned for the talent show and will be singing one of her favorite songs before all her friends, family and peers.

“Even though I’m nervous, I’m also confident about my voice and talent,” Morales said. “I have my friends and family that motivate me and hopefully the judges chose me as this year’s talent show winner.”

Guest performer “Ricky P.” of Walden Grove High School will also be featured in this year’s talent show. He intends to wow the judges with his rapping skills.

According to math teacher Lauren Biddle, the math department is highly anticipating this year’s event.

“I’m 100 percent sure FBLA knows what they’re doing and it’s going to be really impressive,” Biddle said.

“I feel like this year’s show will be fantastic. This event is always fun for them,” FBLA Club advisor Mona Rutherford said.

Rutherford said that she is proud of her students in FBLA and is excited to see them working so hard to put this year’s talent show together.

“My FBLA members are all hardworking and focused young adults,” Rutherford said.

“They definitely all become a family of leaders and young adults that contribute to everyone’s growth, wishing to see them succeed as much as they wish themselves to succeed—and that’s something special.”
